Overview
Yamaha MT-09 Street Tracker
The Street Tracker is, claim Yamaha, a scrambler-inspired
bike that is equipped with a range of special high quality components. Built for
riders who are searching for more emotion and individuality, the MT-09 Street
Tracker offers a cool and sophisticated new look.
Born out of a mix of influences from the Japanese factory, and the firms Italian design and development arm, the Tracker gets a unique matt finish to the frame and bodywork, a short carbon front fender with aluminum stays, and there's also a new aluminum front number board that adds to the image and gifts the rider a little upper body wind protection, too. The new side boards are also aluminum, as is the purposeful billet handlebar brace.
A two-tone seat, comprising a brown leather top section with black Alcantara-look sides, nestles into the new knee grips adorning the matt grey fuel tank, and the rider gets wider footrests to plant their off-road styled street boots on.
Also unique to the new version is the totally black frame, while the 850cc triple is also treated in a matt black finish, topped off with a bronze coloured cylinder head (insert your own Duracell jokes), further complimented by dark bronze wheels and a gold coloured inverted fork.
For more noise and go, theres an Akrapovic exhaust system available as an optional extra, which exits to the right side of the bike's stubby tail.
