Engine
The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 79.0mm bore x 50.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 998.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multiplate assist and slipper clutch.
Chassis
It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 190/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs. hydraulic. in the front and a single disc. abs. hydraulic. in the rear. The MT-10 was fitted with a 4.49 Gallon (17.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 55.12 inches (1400 mm) long.
2016 Yamaha MT-10
Yamaha MT-10 is a liter class naked street fighter that is actually based on the architecture of the famous Yamaha R1. The best part is that it has been optimized for street oriented driving that helps the same components achieve a comfort oriented approach on the relaxed rider.
2017 Yamaha MT-10 SP
For 2017 the standard MT-10 gets a new Quick Shift System (QSS) as standard fitment. It also gets revised engine mapping for enhanced throttle response throughout the rev range, for more balanced performance. The SP’s semi-active electronic suspension is controlled by a Suspension Control Unit (SCU) just like the R1, which analyses data from a series of sensors that monitor suspension action and rider inputs.
