The engine was a air cooled air-cooled 48° V-twin; pushrod OHV, 4 valves/cylinder. A 99.1mm bore x 99.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1854.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).
The bike has a 5-speed, return transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet, multiplate.
It came with a 130/70-18 front tire and a 190/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual hydraulic disc, 298mm in the front and a Hydraulic disc, 320mm in the rear. The front suspension was a 46mm telescopic fork; 5.1-in travel while the rear was equipped with a Single shock; 4.3-in travel. 2006 Yamaha Stratoliner S
The S version of the 2005 Stratoliner gets chromed switchgear, front brake and clutch master cylinders, a detachable windscreen and passenger backrest, allowing riders to change the attire of the machine in only minutes, for short rides and longer hauls, as well.
