The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Two stroke, parallel twin cylinders, read valve,. The engine featured a 5.9:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 100/80-17 front tire and a 120/80-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 320mm discs 2 piston calipers in the front and a Single 210mm disc 1 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork adjustable preload while the rear was equipped with a Coil and gas spring preload 9-way preload position. The TZR250SP was fitted with a 16 liters / 4.2 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 128 kg / 282.1 lbs. The wheelbase was 1375 mm / 54.1 in long.
