The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder.. The engine featured a 12.2:1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plat disc.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 160/60 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x 298 mm discs in the front and a Single 245 mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Telescopic fork, 130mm wheel travel while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm Link less type Monocross, 130mm wheel travel. The XJ6 Diversion F was fitted with a 17.3 Liters / 4.5 US gal fuel tank. The wheelbase was 1440 mm / 56.7 in long.

Yamaha XJ6 Diversion F
The European model Yamaha XJ6 Diversion F a fully-faired version of the XJ6 Diversion launched in 2009. Technically the bike share the same steel frame, 2003 R6-derived inline four-cylinder 600cc engine and basic components the only different is the new full fairing.
Yamahas press release states:
For 2010 the Yamaha model range is further expanded with the introduction of the stylish and practical XJ6 Diversion F, which joins the existing XJ6 Diversion and XJ6 models to make an even more attractive middleweight line-up.
Equipped with a sleek and aerodynamic full fairing, the new XJ6 Diversion F offers added wind protection for improved riding comfort, making this fun all-rounder an ideal commuter bike, especially over longer distances.
