The Yamaha XJR400R was a in-line four, four-stroke Touring motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 1996 and 2002. Max torque was 25.82 ft/lbs (35.0 Nm) @ 9500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 51.9 HP (38.7 KW) @ 11000 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 55.0mm bore x 42.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 399.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

The bike has a 6-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 110/70-zr17 54w front tire and a 150/70-zr17 69w rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic Forks while the rear was equipped with a Dual Shocks Preload Adjustable. The XJR400R was fitted with a 5.28 Gallon (20.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 388.01 pounds (176.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 56.5 inches (1435 mm) long.
