The Yamaha XS250 was a twin, four-stroke Road motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 1978 and 1979. It could reach a top speed of 71 mph (115 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 16.63 HP (12.4 KW) @ 8100 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled twin, four-stroke. A 55.0mm bore x 52.4mm stroke result in a displacement of just 249.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead cams (ohc).
