The '''[[Yamaha]] XS400 DOHC''' was a twin, [[four-stroke]] Naked [[motorcycle]] produced by [[Yamaha]] between 1978 and 1990. It could reach a top speed of 89 mph (143 km/h). Claimed [[horsepower]] was 26.42 HP (19.7 KW) @ 8000 RPM.

The engine was a [[air cooled]] twin, four-stroke. A 69.0mm [[bore]] x 53.4mm [[stroke]] result in a [[displacement]] of just 399.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin [[cam]] (dohc).
