Yamaha introduced the exciting XVZ1300 Royal Star cruiser in 1996. The authentic heavyweight featured American styling, steel fenders & bodywork, long 66.7" wheelbase and V-4engine, all designed and manufactured with the highest standards of quality. Its engine was loosely based on the V-Max and the Venture Royale. Yamaha took the XVZ prefix of the Venture Royale and modified the spelling of Royale to Royal and added the Star designation which coincided with Yamaha's re-branding to the Star Brand of motorcycles.
