The Yamaha YAS1 was a twin, two-stroke standard produced by Yamaha between 1970 and 1971. It could reach a top speed of 68 mph (110 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 14.62 HP (10.9 KW) @ 8500 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a air cooled twin, two-stroke. A 43.0mm bore x 43.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 125.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a port control.

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission.

Chassis

It came with a 2.25-17 front tire and a 2.50-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The YAS1 was fitted with a 2.51 Gallon (9.50 Liters) fuel tank.
