The Yamaha YZ450FX was a single cylinder, four-stroke Trial motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 2003 and 2019. Max torque was 39.09 ft/lbs (53.0 Nm) @ 7500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 59.94 HP (44.7 KW) @ 9000 RPM.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 97.0mm bore x 60.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 449.7 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc.

Chassis

It came with a 80/100-21 front tire and a 120/80-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. hydraulic in the front and a single disc. hydraulic in the rear. The front suspension was a kyb® spring-type fork with speed sensitive damping; fully adjustable while the rear was equipped with a kyb® single shock; full adjustable. The YZ450FX was fitted with a 2.2 Gallon (8.33 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 218.92 pounds (99.3 Kg). The wheelbase was 58.31 inches (1481 mm) long.
