The Zündapp K400 Kardan was a two cylinder boxer, four-stroke standard produced by Zündapp in 1933. It could reach a top speed of 59 mph (95 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 9.79 HP (7.3 KW) @ 4500 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled two cylinder boxer, four-stroke. A 62.0mm bore x 66.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 398.0 cubic centimeters.
