The Zündapp Z249 was a single cylinder, two-stroke standard produced by Zündapp between 1923 and 1924. It could reach a top speed of 43 mph (70 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 2.68 HP (2.0 KW) @ 2600 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 68.0mm bore x 82.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 249.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 3-speed transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 2.25-24 front tire and a 2.25-24 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a druid fork while the rear was equipped with a rigid. The Z249 was fitted with a 1.61 Gallon (6.10 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 167.55 pounds (76.0 Kg).
