The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Parallel twin cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder. The engine featured a 12.0:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 320 mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a Single 265 mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Die-cast aluminum single sided swinging arm with rear wheal axle and eccentric adjustment, central spring stud , spring pre-loaded hydraulically adjustable to continuously variable levels by means of handwheel, rebound damping adjustable. The F800S Twinstar / Sprintstar was fitted with a 16 Liters / 4.3 US gal fuel tank.
