The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder. The engine featured a 13.0:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
Stopping was achieved via 2 x 320 mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a Single 265 mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a BMW Duolever with central shock-absorber while the rear was equipped with a BMW Paralever with progressive damping single shock absorber, remotely adjustable for preload and rebound, damping135mm wheel travel. The K1300S was fitted with a 19 Liters / 5.0 US gal fuel tank.
