The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 39.0mm bore x 41.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 49.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a automatic transmission. The final drive was via belt. Power was moderated via the coil cdi.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.50-10 front tire and a 3.50-10 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding [[brake]] (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equiped with a swing arm. The Modena 50 is fitted with a 1.19 Gallon (4.50 Liters) fuel tank. 2015 AJS Modena 50[edit | edit source]
The 2015 MY AJS Modena 50 is an entry-level machine that addresses the nostalgic among riders, boasting an overall design inspired from the 60's Vespa's. It comes standard with features such as a lockable, side-storage box, a lockable under-seat storage compartment, folding luggage racks in the front and in the rear, stainless steel nudge bars, a small headlight and a dual seat.
In the tech/engine department, it sports an air-cooled, four-stroke, 49cc, single cylinder powerhouse paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and can reach a maximum power output of 3 horsepower at 7500 rpm.
