The bike has a Straight cut gears and integrated flexible coupling transmission. Power was moderated via the Multiplate wet clutch with mechanical slipper system.
It came with a 120/70 ZR 17 front tire and a 190/55 ZR 17 (alternative: 190/50 ZR 17; 200/55 ZR 17) rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual 320 mm floating stainless steel discs in the front and a 220-mm diameter disc in the rear. The 2011 Aprilia Tuono V4R APRC brings the WSBK-grade Performance Rider Control system to the street level, making the naked version of the RSV4 even more fierce. Riders are now in full control of traction, wheelie and launch, also benefiting from the quickshift gearbox, and being offered a wide palette of settings which should give them a solid advantage on the track and street.
