The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, parallel twin cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder. The engine featured a 12.0:1 compression ratio.

Drive[edit | edit source]

Power was moderated via the Cable-operated multiplate-plate wet clutch.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x ∅320 mm discs, 4 piston calipers in the front and a Single ∅265 mm disc, 2 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Telescopic forks, while the rear was equipped with a Die-cast aluminum single sided swinging arm with rear wheal axle and eccentric adjustment, central spring stud , spring pre-loaded hydraulically adjustable to continuously variable levels by means of handwheel, rebound damping adjustable.. The F800ST Touring was fitted with a 16 Liters / 4.2 US gal. fuel tank. The bike weighed just 187 kg / 412 lbs. The wheelbase was 1466 mm / 57.7 in. long.
