The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder. The engine featured a 13.0:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-ZR17 front tire and a 190/50-ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x ∅320mm discs, 4 piston calipers in the front and a Single ∅265mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a BMW Motorrad Duolever; central spring strut, rebound damping electronically adjustable with optional ESA while the rear was equipped with a Die-cast aluminum single-sided swinging arm with BMW Motorrad Paralever; central spring strut with lever system, spring pre-load adjustable to continuously variable levels by means of hydraulic handwheel (electronically adjustable with optional ESA), adjustable rebound damping (rebound damping and compression electronically adjustable with optional ESA).
