The BMW R 60/6 was a air-cooled, four-stroke, boxer twin cylinder, 2 valves Classic motorcycle produced by BMW in 1973. Max torque was 36.14 ft/lbs (49.0 Nm) @ 5000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 39.96 HP (29.8 KW) @ 6400 RPM.

A 73.7mm bore x 73.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 599.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 4-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, single plate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.25 - S19 front tire and a 4.00 - S18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 200mm drum in the front and a 200mm drum in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a dual shocks.

The 1973 BMW R 60/6 has, at its heart, an air-cooled, four-stroke, 599cc, boxer twin cylinder powerplant mated to a four-speed manual transmission and can reach a maximum power output of 40 horsepower and 49 Nm of torque.

It also comes standard with features such as laced wheels, a dual seat, pillion grab rails, a small tail-lamp, a round headlamp, an analogue instrumentation panel, a drum braking system in the front and in the rear, a dual exhaust system, plus a suspension package composed of a telescopic front fork and a dual shocks in the rear.
