The BMW S1000R was a in-line four, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by BMW between 2014 and 2019. It could reach a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h). Max torque was 84.09 ft/lbs (114.0 Nm) @ 9250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 158.78 HP (118.4 KW) @ 11000 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a oil & air cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 80.0mm bore x 49.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 999.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multiplate cluth in oil bath, anti-hopping clutch, mechanically controlled.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 190/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs. floating discs. four-piston calipers. in the front and a single disc. abs. floating disc. single-piston caliper. in the rear. The front suspension was a upside-down telescopic fork 46 mm, compression and rebound stage adjustable while the rear was equipped with a aluminum 2-sided swing arm, rebound damping adjustable. The S1000R was fitted with a 4.62 Gallon (17.50 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 392.42 pounds (178.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 56.65 inches (1439 mm) long.

The 2014 MY BMW S 1000 R is a new, powerful naked machine based on BMW's flagship sportsbike, the S 1000 RR. At its heart lies a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 999cc, in-line four cylinder powerhouse paired to a six-speed transmission, and can produce an impressive 160 horsepower and 112 Nm of torque. Also, it comes standard with state-of-the-art technologies such as part integral Race ABS, Automatic Stability Control, and, with optional Dynamic Traction Control, Dynamic Damping Control, and E-gas (ride-by-wire). It features two selectable riding modes on the standard model, Road or Rain, which make sure it delivers optimum power, no matter the road conditions, and, the more performance-oriented Dynamic riding mode, which comes with the DTC or the Sports package.

The 2015 MY BMW S 1000 R is a race-inspired machine, with a minimalist body work and one of the lowest dry weights available on the market. At its heart lies a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 999cc, in-line four cylinder engine, mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and can produce 160 horsepower and 112 Nm of torque. It comes standard with technologies such as Race ABS and Automatic Stability Control, as well as two selectable riding modes, Rain and Road, as standard, plus two additional riding modes as optional, Dynamic and Dynamic Pro. It can be fitted with other modern technologies, such as the Dynamic Traction Control, Electronic Suspensio Adjustment, shift assistant and Cruise Control.

The 2016 MY BMW S 1000 R sports a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 999cc, transverse four cylinder powerhouse paired to a six-speed manual transmission that can reach a maximum power output of 160 horsepower and 112 Nm of torque.

In addition, this powerful roadster comes with technologies such as Race ABS, Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and a ride-by-wire with two selectable riding modes, Rain and Road. It can also be equipped , on demand, with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA), shift assistant and cruise control, as well as two additional riding modes, Dynamic and Dynamic Pro.
