The Bajaj AVENGER 180 DTS-I was a Single cylinder, 4-stroke, Air-cooled Cruiser motorcycle produced by Bajaj in 2008. Max torque was 11.06 ft/lbs (15.0 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 16.49 HP (12.3 KW) @ 8000 RPM.

The bike has a 5-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 90/90-17 front tire and a 130/90-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Disc in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Hydraulic shock absorbers. The wheelbase was 58.7 inches (1491 mm) long.

2008 Bajaj AVENGER 180 DTS-I[edit | edit source]

Completely re-tuned DTS-I technology especially designed for India´s first cruiser. This motorcycle sits on a 178.6 cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder engine which uses OHC system. Engine delivers 16.5 hp of maximum power @ 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 15.2 Nm @ 6000 rpm. Engine is mated with a 5-speed gear box unit which uses a chain drive for transmitting the power to rear wheels. From the Kawasaki engine, this one is tuned to generate more torque.
