Engine[edit | edit source]
A 94.0mm bore x 94.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 449.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a Michelin Enduro 21 front tire and a Michelin Enduro 18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 260mm rotor in the front and a 240mm rotor in the rear. The front suspension was a 48 mm Sachs USD fork, adjustable compression and rebound, TFX technology while the rear was equipped with a aluminum Body Sachs shock w/adjustable rebound and hi/low speed compression. The 450RS was fitted with a 0.53 Gallon (2.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 58.11 inches (1476 mm) long.
2012 Beta 450RS[edit | edit source]
The 2012 MY Beta 450RS sports a 449cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The 450RS is more fearsome than ever, featuring improvements in the engine department, like stronger cam chain guides, updated counterbalance bearings and a redesigned cylinder head.
The aesthetics department has been refreshed, with a bold new red frame and white plastics. The RS can be customized to give it a more original look, with over 65 accessories available to choose from.
2013 Beta 450RS[edit | edit source]
The 2013 MY Beta 450RS features a new Sachs 48mm fork with TFX technology which provides more precise movement with less friction, thus improving the feel and increasing the suspension performance. This new fork has been designed especially for Beta machinery. In this regard, the fork seals and wipers have been replaced with ones that have self-lubricating compounds, and a new triple clamp has been fitted to match the new fork.
The frame has received an upgrade also, with extra gussets and bigger diameter lower tubes, which make it flex less and and improves the overall stability of the two-wheeler, both during sharp turns and in fast straight lines.
2014 Beta 450RS[edit | edit source]
The 2014 MY Beta 450 RS sports a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 449cc single cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
This dual-sport gives off a strong off-road vibe thanks to its Sachs 48mm front fork with SKF low friction seals, and the all-aluminum body rear shock, derived from the proven RR Beta models.
Excellent off-road capabilities and steady, safe, on-road performances are ensured by the double cradle steel frame, also frankensteined from the RR models.
