Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a Gear transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/60 VB17 front tire and a 170/70 VB17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Marzocchi telescopic fork, Buel anti-dive system while the rear was equipped with a WP Mono-shock.

The 1989 MY Buell RS 1200/5 Westwind sports an air-cooled, four-stroke, 1198 cc, 45-degree V-Twin powerhouse paired to a four-speed manual transmission and can produce a claimed 60 hp (44.7 Kw) at 5000 rpm. Also, it comes with a half-fairing, for improved protection against the elements, a large windscreen, an analogue instrument cluster, an under-belly exhaust system for a lower center of gravity, dual front disc brakes, a Marzocchi front telescopic fork, a WP mono-shock in the rear and polished aluminum wheels.
