The Can-Am/ Brp Commander 1000 MAX XT was a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, Rotax V-twin ATV produced by Can-Am/ Brp in 2015.

The bike has a CVT, L / H / N / R / P transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 27 x 9 x 14 in front tire and a Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 27 x 11 x 14 in rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 214 mm ventilated disc brakes with hydraulic twin-piston calipers in the front and a single 214 mm ventilated disc brake with hydraulic twin-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a double A-arm, Motion Control shocks while the rear was equipped with a Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTI), Motion Control shocks. The Commander 1000 MAX XT was fitted with a 2.64 Gallon (10.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 106.1 inches (2695 mm) long.

The 2015 MY Can-Am Commander 1000 MAX XT is a gritty, four-up SxS machine that comes standard with a number of features that increase its versatility, either for a remote job site, or even hunting trips and leisure strolls through woodland tracks. At its heart lies a 85 horsepower, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 976cc, single cylinder powerhouse mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

It comes standard with a heavy-duty front bumper, bed rails and mudguards, a WARN winch, a tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering Technology, a Visco-Lok QE auto-locking front differential, ventilated front and rear disc brakes, as well as bulky, 27" Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires mounted in 14" wheels, which not only increase its versatility and the range of terrains it can tackle, but also the comfort, both for the driver and the passengers.
