The Can-Am/ Brp Commander X 1000 was a V-twin, liquid-cooled, SOHC, 8-valve (4-valve/cyl) ATV produced by Can-Am/ Brp in 2013.

A 91.4mm bore x 91.4mm stroke result in a displacement of just 976.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 2w/4w shaft driven with Visco-Lok front differential transmission. Power was moderated via the Automatic CVT.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 27 x 11 x 12 front tire and a 27 x 11 x 12 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual 214 mm ventilated disc brakes with hydraulic twin-piston calipers in the front and a Single 214 mm ventilated disc brake with hydraulic twin-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Double A-arm with dive-control geometry / Motion Control shocks while the rear was equipped with a Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTI) with external sway bar/ Motion Control shocks. The Commander X 1000 was fitted with a 2.64 Gallon (10.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 75.79 inches (1925 mm) long.
