Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 2w/4w shaft driven with Visco-Lok front differential transmission. Power was moderated via the Automatic CVT.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 25 x 8 x 12 front tire and a 25 x 11 x 12 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 inboard hydraulic discs in the front and a 1 inboard hydraulic disc in the rear. The front suspension was a MacPherson while the rear was equipped with a Torsional Trailing arm Independent. The wheelbase was 57.01 inches (1448 mm) long.
2008 Can-Am/ Brp Outlander MAX 400 HO XT[edit | edit source]
The 2007 MAX 400 HO XT is what one gets when blending in all the Outlanders: the mechanical basis of the stock model, all the extras of the XT package and the two-up riding design of the MAX series.
The XT package brings in a powerful winch with a wired remote control easy to stow in the dedicated front compartment, sturdy steel front and rear bumpers. The ATV now rolls on lightweight cast aluminum wheels shod with Carlisle ACT tires and comes with handlebar wind protectors. This quad offers the same operation versatility like the base model: selectable 2/4WD, auto-locking front differential, engine brake and an easy-to-use automatic transmission. Available in yellow, red and green.
