The Can-Am/ Brp Outlander MAX 650 XT was a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, Rotax V-twin ATV produced by Can-Am/ Brp between 2008 and 2015.

A 81.3mm bore x 81.3mm stroke result in a displacement of just 650.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a CVT, P / R / N / H / L transmission. Power was moderated via the Automatic CVT.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a Carlisle Badland 26 x 8 x 12 in front tire and a Carlisle Badland 26 x 10 x 12 in rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 214 mm discs, 2-piston calipers, hydraulic in the front and a 214 mm discs, 2-piston calipers, hydraulic in the rear. The front suspension was a double A-arm while the rear was equipped with a Torsional Trailing Arm (TTI). The wheelbase was 50.98 inches (1295 mm) long.

This ATV offers the ease of use of automatic transmission with selectable 2/4WD and engine braking for safer descents. An auto-locking front differential, independent suspensions and no-nonsense ground clearance make riding on rough terrain easier and more pleasant.

The XT comes with a winch, cast aluminum wheels, hand protectors and heavy-duty bumpers and the nifty dynamic power steering system. Thanks to the convertible rack system, the passenger seat can be removed quickly and large loads can be accommodated on the rear rack. Even more, touring or cargo boxes can be installed for more convenience and versatility.

The 2010 Can-Am Outlander MAX 650 XT takes a step up from the base middleweight model, and adds several functional enhancements to this two-up ATV. One of the most important additions is the tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering system, offering three assistance levels for easier steering on rough terrain and less fatigue even after many hours spent aboard the quad.

Heavy duty bumpers protect your ATV in the front and rear, while the powerful winch is ready to help you when the going gets really tough, for you or your fellow riders. Better equipped than the base model, the 2011 Can-Am Outlander MAX 650 XT comes with several functional and aesthetic extras. On the tech side, the most noticeable additions are the the 3-way adjustable dynamic power steering, solid front and rear bumpers and the powerful winch. The looks are upgraded by means of black cast aluminum wheels, mudguards, or Camo and Pure Magnesium color options.

The 2011 Can-Am Outlander MAX 650 XT sports all the nifty mechanical features which have made the series a premier choice for the off-road enthusiasts: independent suspensions, selectable 2/4WD and high/low ratios, engine braking and auto-locking front differential. When riding solo or when large amounts of luggage have to be hauled, the modular passenger seat can be removed for installing a cargo box.

The 2013 Can-Am Outlander MAX 650 XT is the very middle of the MAX XT series, with two bigger brothers and two smaller ones. It carries on the acclaimed heritage and offers extensive features with both comfort and performance in mind: a heavy-duty WARN winch, solid rear and front bumpers, hand protectors and cast aluminum wheels with machined detail and the top-notch Dynamic Power Steering as standard equipment, for a less fatiguing trail adventure.

Since gear and some extra fuel are essential for a serious off-road adventure, this ATV has been created as a mechanical mule, too: it can accommodate up to 135 kg on the dual racks, but if you travel alone, the convertible rear seat allows for a cargo box, too. For two-up riding, the passenger will surely appreciate the padded backrest and multi-position hand grabs. This quad also offers digital instrumentation, an encoded key and easy-to-use dual-ratio automatic transmission, selectable 2/4WD with locking front differential, reverse and engine braking for safer descents.

The 2015 MY Outlander MAX 650 XT has been designed to be able to accommodate a passenger, whether for leisure strolls through woodland tracks, or for another helping hand on the remote job site. It comes standard with a WARN winch, multi-purpose racks with LinQ quick-attach, as well as a 5.7 gallons of rear storage space.

At its heart lies a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 649cc, Rotax V-twin powerhouse mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). In addition, it features modern technologies such as Dynamic Power Steering, which makes for a more easy to handle machine, no matter the terrain.
