The Can-Am/ Brp Outlander MAX 650 XT-P was a V-twin, liquid-cooled, SOHC, 8-valve (4-valve/cyl) ATV produced by Can-Am/ Brp between 2010 and 2012.

A 81.3mm bore x 81.3mm stroke result in a displacement of just 649.6 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 2w/4w shaft driven with Visco-Lok QE auto-locking front differential transmission. Power was moderated via the Automatic CVT.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 26 x 8 x 12 front tire and a 26 x 10 x 12 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 inboard hydraulic discs in the front and a 1 inboard hydraulic disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Double A-Arm while the rear was equipped with a Torsional Trailing arm Independent. The wheelbase was 59.02 inches (1499 mm) long.

XT-P stands for the fully-loaded trim of the 2009 Can-Am Outlander MAX 650 EFI: painted black and yellow plastic side panels, mudguards and hand protectors. A powerful winch with remote control, heavy-duty steel bumpers and all-new black aluminum wheels with yellow inserts.

This ATV offers the ease of use of automatic transmission with selectable 2/4WD and engine braking for safer descents. An auto-locking front differential, independent suspensions and generous ground clearance also mean great passability over rough terrain and more pleasurable rides. At the same time, riders will surely enjoy the awesome convenience of the dynamic power steering system offering three levels of assistance for easier directional control on rough terrain.

The 2011 Can-Am Outlander MAX 650 XT-P boasts the 3-way adjustable dynamic power steering, solid front and rear bumpers, the powerful winch, beadlock wheels and mudguards of the XT series, but brings forth the premium adjustable FOX HPG racing suspensions. It also comes with Air Control Suspension for a smoother ride and more precise damping.

All the mechanical features which have made the series a premier choice for the off-road enthusiasts are also present: independent suspensions, selectable 2/4WD and high/low ratios, engine braking and auto-locking front differential. When riding solo or when large amounts of luggage have to be hauled, the modular passenger seat can be removed for installing a cargo box.
