The Can-Am/ Brp Spyder RT was a liquid-cooled, Rotax 1330 ACE in-line 3 cylinders Trike motorcycle produced by Can-Am/ Brp between 2010 and 2015. Max torque was 95.89 ft/lbs (130.0 Nm) @ 5000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 115.06 HP (85.8 KW) @ 7250 RPM.

A 83.8mm bore x 83.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1330.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed, manual or semi-auto, both with reverse transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 165 / 55 R15 front tire and a 225 / 50 R15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 270 mm discs with Brembo 4-piston fixed calipers in the front and a 270 mm disc with Brembo single-piston floating caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a double A-arm with anti-roll bar, Sachs shocks while the rear was equipped with a swing arm, air preload SACHS shock. The wheelbase was 67.52 inches (1715 mm) long.

The 2011 MY Can-Am Spyder RT has some new improvements, such as the updated front suspension which reduces body roll, an optimized airflow management system, thanks to the electrically-adjustable windshield and the new wind deflectors, as well as two new color schemes, Pure Magnesium Metallic or Viper Red. Technology-wise, it boasts modern ones, such as the Vehicle Stability System, Electronic Cruise Control, Traction Control, Stability Control as well as ABS as standard.

The 2014 MY Can-Am Spyder RT is the most touring oriented reverse trike from the Trike family, with standard features such as the Vehicle Stability System, which includes Traction Control, Stability Control and ABS as standard, the newly-developed ECO mode smart assist, the new ultra comfort touring saddle with lumbar support and pillion backrest, rider and passenger foorboards, 155 liters of storage space, plus Dynamic Power steering. Style-wise, it features twelve-spoked, Metallic Silver front wheels, a newly-designed and front end. Also, performance and rider comfort have been increased with the addition iof the Sachs shocks, the unique suspension geometry and the heated handgrips.
