The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 38.0mm bore x 44.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 49.6 cubic centimeters.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a swingarm. The RT159 was fitted with a 3.43 Gallon (13.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 187.39 pounds (85.0 Kg).
