The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, single-cylinder, OHV, pushrod. The engine featured a 7.0:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 2.50 x 17 front tire and a 2.75 x 17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 118 mm Drum in the front and a 118 mm Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Hydraulically damped telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm, dual chocks. The 125T / 125TV was fitted with a 14 Liters / 3.7 US gal / 3.1 Imp gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 95 kg / 209 lbs.

Ducati 125T / TV
The main differences between the T and TV models were: Frame: T - pressed steel / TV - twin tubular steel downtubes (in 1958 the T-model also received a similar frame) Suspension: TV upgraded from T model Brakes: TV - full-width from brake Headlight: TV light incorporated in a nacelle above the front fork. By 1959 the TV disappeared and only the T remained and was also discontinued the following year - the era of pushrod engines were something of the past and OHC models were in full swing.
