The engine was a Air cooled cooled Two-stroke, single cylinder, piston port. The engine featured a 9.5:1 or 11:1 compression ratio.

Drive[edit | edit source]

Power was moderated via the Wet, multiplate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 2.25 x 19 front tire and a 2.25 x 19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum, 105 mm in the front and a Drum, 105 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm, twin shocks. The bike weighed just 58 kg / 128 lbs.

The look of the Ducati 50 Sport SL1 might not tickle the taste buds of today’s generation, but back in the day, this road-runner was a bonafide stud on the road. The 50 Sport SL1 was one of the last 50-cc Ducati Sports ever built. Quite frankly, the SL1 was one of the most elegant of this variant, boasting of a design that became popular in its time. On top of that, it also carried a moderate 50 cc single cylinder, two-stroke engine that was mated to a four speed transmission.
