Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/60 ZR17 front tire and a 160/60 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm upside-down telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a adjustable Sachs monoshock with progressive linkage. The Monster 620ie S was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank.

The 2001 MY Ducati Monster 620ie S has received various upgrades, as opposed to the base model, that allow it to reach an even more impressive performance output, as well as a higher level of maneuverability and rider comfort. It has been equipped with a Sachs adjustable monoshock with a progressive linkage, a small windscreen, a red finish on its three-spoked, cast-aluminum wheels, a higher-grade exhaust system and a new engine mapping, which increases power output by 2 horsepower, to a total of 60 horsepower at 9500 rpm.
