Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a air cooled air-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, DOHC, desmodromic 4 valves per cylinder. A 99.1mm bore x 99.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1078.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a desmodromic valve control.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multiplate with hydraulic control.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Ohlins fully-adjustable upside-down fork, TiN-coated while the rear was equipped with a fully-adjustable Ohlins monoshock with progressive linkage. The Multistrada 1100S was fitted with a 5.28 Gallon (20.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 432.11 pounds (196.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 57.56 inches (1462 mm) long.

The 2007 MY Ducati Multistrada 1100 has, at its heart, a four-stroke, air-cooled, fuel-injected, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerplant paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and can reach a maximum power output of 95 horsepower and 104 Nm of torque.

Also, it has standard fittings such as a small headlight, a half-fairing with an adjustable windshield, a two-piece dual seat, a passenger grab handle, a small luggage rack, an under-seat dual exhaust system, Marchessini lightweight wheels, a steel, trellis frame, a digital instrumentation display, Brembo brakes, a 43mm fully-adjustable upside-down telescopic front fork and a fully-adjustable Sachs monoshock with progressive linkage as a rear suspension.

2007 Ducati Multistrada 1100S[edit | edit source]

The 2007 MY Ducati Multistrada 1100S boasts a maximum power output of 95 horsepower and 103 Nm of torque from its air-cooled, four-stroke, 1078cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerplant that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive.

Being an "S"-suffixed model means it was fitted with a race-grade Ohlins suspension package, composed of a fully-adjustable, TiN-coated upside-down telescopic front fork and a fully-adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage in the rear, which allows this machine to have a higher ground clearance and seat height, but also significantly increases its maneuverability and the types of terrains and roads it can successfully tackle.
