The Ducati ST4S ABS was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, DOHC, desmodromic 4 valves per cylinder Sport touring motorcycle produced by Ducati between 1997 and 2006. It could reach a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Max torque was 72.28 ft/lbs (98.0 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 116.94 HP (87.2 KW) @ 8750 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a liquid cooled liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 90-degree V-Twin, DOHC, desmodromic 4 valves per cylinder. A 99.1mm bore x 99.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 996.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a desmodromic valve control.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a straight cut gears transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers, ABS in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper, ABS in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Showa fully-adjustable upside-down fork, TiN-coated while the rear was equipped with a Ohlins fully-adjustable monoshock with progressive linkage. The ST4S ABS was fitted with a 5.55 Gallon (21.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 443.13 pounds (201.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 56.3 inches (1430 mm) long.
