The Enfield 500S Continental was a single cylinder, four-stroke standard produced by Enfield in 2006. It could reach a top speed of 78 mph (125 km/h). Max torque was 2.58 ft/lbs (3.5 Nm) @ 3000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 21.59 HP (16.1 KW) @ 5400 RPM.

A 84.0mm bore x 90.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 499.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the mulitiplate.

Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The 500S Continental was fitted with a 3.83 Gallon (14.50 Liters) fuel tank.
