The Enfield Thunderbird X500 was a single cylinder, four-stroke standard produced by Enfield between 2012 and 2018. Max torque was 30.46 ft/lbs (41.3 Nm) @ 4000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 26.69 HP (19.9 KW) @ 5250 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 84.0mm bore x 90.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 499.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet mulitiplate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 90/90-19 front tire and a 120/80-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. ventilated disc, 2-piston calipers in the front and a single disc. single-piston in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a twin gas charged shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload. The Thunderbird X500 was fitted with a 5.28 Gallon (20.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 429.9 pounds (195.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 53.15 inches (1350 mm) long.
