The GAS GAS SM400 FSE was a single cylinder, four-stroke standard produced by GAS GAS in 2002. Max torque was 31.86 ft/lbs (43.2 Nm) @ 6570 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 46.0 HP (34.3 KW) @ 9940 RPM.

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 90.0mm bore x 62.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 399.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/60-17 front tire and a 150/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The SM400 FSE was fitted with a 2.51 Gallon (9.50 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 58.07 inches (1475 mm) long.
