The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/60 -17 front tire and a 150/60 -17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 260mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the front and a single 220mm disc, 1-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 45mm Marzocchi upside-down telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Ohlins monoshock with progressive linkage.

The Spanish engineers from Gas Gas have taken a EC 400 FSE and traded in the off-road wheels and tires for some city and track-friendly ones, for supermotard fans all around the world. It comes with a single seat, laced wheels, a digital instrumentation display, an upside-down Marzocchi telescopic fork coupled to an Ohlins monoshock with progressive linkage in the rear, and disc brakes both in the front and in the rear.
In the engine department it sports a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 399cc, single cylinder powerhouse paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and can produce a claimed 47 horsepower and 43 Nm of torque.

The 2003 MY Gas Gas EC 400 FSE Supermotard boasts a maximum power output of 47 horsepower and 43 Nm of torque from its four-stroke, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 399cc, single cylinder powerplant that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive.
