Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 4-Speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi plate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.00 -17 front tire and a 3.25 -17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Hydraulic telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Dual shocks. The 300 Extra was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank.
1964 - 1969 Gilera 300 Extra[edit | edit source]
The 1964 Gilera 300 Extra was powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke, 300cc, single cylinder powerhouse, paired to a four-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and could produce a claimed 15 horsepower at 8000 rpm.
This classic machine was also fitted with a hydraulic telescopic front fork coupled to dual shocks as a rear suspension, drum brakes both in the front as well as in the rear, a dual seat, a chromed, pea-shooter exhaust muffler, laced wheels, a round headlight, a blacked-out, steel frame and a generous, 19-liter fuel tank.
