The Gilera XR1-125 was a single cylinder, two-stroke standard produced by Gilera in 1988. It could reach a top speed of 83 mph (134 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 22.26 HP (16.6 KW) @ 9500 RPM.

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 56.0mm bore x 50.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 124.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a paioli upside down forks, 230mm wheel travel while the rear was equipped with a boge single shock. The XR1-125 was fitted with a 5.81 Gallon (22.00 Liters) fuel tank.
