The Gilera XRT600 (reduced effect) was a single cylinder, four-stroke Enduro motorcycle produced by Gilera between 1988 and 1990. It could reach a top speed of 80 mph (129 km/h). Max torque was 31.72 ft/lbs (43.0 Nm) @ 5750 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 26.42 HP (19.7 KW) @ 6500 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 98.0mm bore x 74.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 554.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

The bike has a 5-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 90/90-21 front tire and a 130/80-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a monoshock. The XRT600 (reduced effect) was fitted with a 5.28 Gallon (20.00 Liters) fuel tank.

The 1988 MY Gilera XRT 600 is powered by a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 558cc, single cylinder powerplant paired to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and can produce a claimed 39 horsepower and 44 Nm of torque.

In addition, it has been fitted with dual headlights, a windscreen for improved wind protection, a dual seat, passenger grab rails, a rear luggage rack, an under-seat exhaust system, laced wheels, an engine mudguard, wide handlebars with handguards, a telescopic front fork, a rear monoshock suspension, and a disc braking system both in the front and in the rear.
