The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, Twin Cam 110™ Valves Pushrod-operated, overhead valves with hydraulic, self-adjusting lifters; two valves per cylinder. The engine featured a 9.6:1 compression ratio.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 130/70R18 front tire and a 200/50R18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 292mm disc 4 piston caliper in the front and a Single 292mm disc 2 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 41.3 mm telescopic, chrome "beer can" covers while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm Mild steel tube sections, forged junctions; MIG welded; color-matched to vehicle rear shocks Hidden, horizontal-mounted, coil-over. The FLSTSE Softail Convertible CVO was fitted with a 18.9 Liters / 5.0 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 328.41 kg / 724 lbs. The wheelbase was 1630.6 mm / 64.2 in long.

The 2010 Harley-Davidson CVO Softail Convertible has a split personality. With its compact fairing and smoked windshield providing protection from the elements, and leather-covered saddlebags to hold gear, the CVO Softail Convertible is a refined touring machine ready for a weekend get-away with a passenger comfortably supported by the wide pillion and padded backrest. But because each of these components can be quickly detached, the CVO Softail Convertible can be stripped down to reveal an alter ego. In just minutes, it's an aggressive solo-saddle custom cruiser with bold paint, gleaming chrome, smooth lines and a massive engine, ready to prowl the boulevard in style. Designed to be a "two-in-one" motorcycle, the CVO Softail Convertible can be configured for all-day touring, two-up cruising or solo profiling by simply adding or detaching key components, each of which can be easily removed or installed without tools. Based on the Harley-Davidson Softail platform, the CVO Softail Convertible features a rear-suspension design that mimics the clean lines of a vintage hardtail frame, but offers the comfort of a modern suspension that is hidden under the chassis. A fuel-injected Screamin' Eagle Twin Cam 110B V-Twin provides the CVO Softail Convertible with extraordinary power and thrilling performance.

The Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Softail® Convertible is a limited-production custom motorcycle that can be configured for all-day touring, two-up cruising or solo profiling by adding or detaching key components, which can be easily removed or installed without tools.

Production will be limited to approximately 2,500 units assembled at the Harley-Davidson Vehicle Operations facility in York, Pa.

The Softail rear suspension mimics the clean lines of a vintage hardtail frame but offers the comfort of modern suspension that is hidden under the chassis.
