The bike has a chain transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a BW 130/80B17 65H front tire and a BW 180/65B16 81H rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 32 mm, 4-piston caliper in the front and a 32 mm, 4-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a dual shocks. The wheelbase was 64.02 inches (1626 mm) long.

The 2011 MY Harley Davidson FLTRUSE CVO Road Glide Ultra sports an air-cooled, 1803cc, Twin Cam 110 V-twin powerplant mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a Cruise Drive technology, and can produce 156 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm.

For the 2011 MY, it has received upgrades, such as the Road Tech Zumo 600 GPS unit, a new, high-end audio system, an iPod nano, a 16" windshield, new wind deflectors, a new, hammock-style, dual-control heated seat, a spring-board style suspension system in the passenger area, a new passenger backrest with adjustable lumbar support, an inner fairing storage box, more chrome plating, and new paint schemes.

The 2013 MY Harley Davidson CVO Road Glide Ultra has been improved with the addition of an assist and slip clutch pack, for easier gear shifts, a high-output amplified audio system, featuring 200-watt amplifiers and front and rear dual-speakers, a sensitive AM/FM antenna within the shark-nosed fairing, the Daymaker LED headlamp and a smoked Wind Splitter windshield with a ghosted Harley Davidson graphic.

At its heart lies the proven, air-cooled, 1802cc, Twin Cam 110 mated to a manual, six-speed Cruise Drive transmission, which produces a jaw-dropping 165 Nm of torque. Standard, color-matching, hard saddlebags offer a generous load-carrying capacity, thus making the Road Glide Ultra suitable for across-country long hauls also.
