The bike has a chain transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 140/75R17 67V front tire and a 200/55R17 78V rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 292mm disc, 4-piston caliper in the front and a single 292mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a monoshock. The Peace Officer Fat Boy was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 64.49 inches (1638 mm) long.

The 2008 MY Harley Davidson Peace Officer FLSTF Fat Boy has, at its heart, an air-cooled, 1584cc, Twin Cam 96B powerhouse mated to a six-speed manual transmission with Cruise Drive and can produce 123 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm. This machine has been designed as a tribute to law enforcement officers, and can be purchased only by active or retired ones. Also, it boasts special paint schemes, created specifically for this series. In all other departments, it has the same parts and features as the base Fat Boy.
2009 Harley Davidson Peace Officer Fat Boy[edit | edit source]
The 2009 MY Harley Davidson Peace Officer Fat Boy sports an air-cooled, 1584cc, Twin Cam 96B V-Twin powerhouse mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a Cruise Drive technology, and can produce 122 Nm of torque at 2750 rpm.
This machine can be purchased only by active or retired law enforcement officers, and boasts special paint schemes, that can be found only on this series. Also, unlike its previous embodiment, it comes with a new frame and swingarm, an increased load capacity, a new chrome horseshoe oil tank, a new, stainless steel, wide cruiser bars, a new 200mm rear tire and a new chrome, over/under shotgun exhaust.
2011 Harley Davidson Peace Officer Fat Boy[edit | edit source]
The 2011 MY Harley Davidson Peace Officer Fat Boy is a special edition machined dedicated to US police officers, comes with a special, two-tone, Light Peace Officer Blue/Dark Peace Officer Blue with Blue/Silver Pinstripes, and can be purchased only by retired or active police officers. At its heart lies an air-cooled, 1584cc, Twin Cam 96B powerhouse paired to a six-speed manual transmission with Cruise Drive and can produce 127 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm.
This two-wheeler comes standard with new hand controls, a new odometer trip switch, a new single button hazzard warning and a larger odometer readout with gear and rpm display, as opposed to its previous incarnation. It also boasts silver, bullet-hole disc, cast-aluminum wheels, a fat, 200mm rear tire, full-size rider foot boards, a two-piece, two-up saddle, a custom trimmed fender and lots of chrome plating throughout the machine.
