It came with a 140/75R17 67V front tire and a 200/55R17 78V rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 292mm disc, 4-piston caliper in the front and a single 292mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a monoshock. The Police Fat Boy was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 64.49 inches (1638 mm) long.

The 2010 MY Harley Davidson Police Fat Boy sports an air-cooled, 1584cc, Twin Cam 96B V-twin powerhouse mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a Cruise Drive technology, and can produce 127 Nm of torque at just 3000 rpm. This machine comes equipped from the factory with special features, such as police sirens and lights.
Other features include a new, helical cut 5th gear, a 200mm wide rear tire, a new, "horseshoe" oil tank with chrome external oil lines, a dual staggered exhaust, bullet-hole disc, cast aluminum wheels, plus a beefy front fork.
