The Hercules 318 was a single cylinder, two-stroke standard produced by Hercules between 1953 and 1956. It could reach a top speed of 65 mph (105 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 14.62 HP (10.9 KW) @ 6000 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 52.0mm bore x 58.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 246.0 cubic centimeters.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.25-19 front tire and a 3.25-19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The 318 was fitted with a 3.43 Gallon (13.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 335.1 pounds (152.0 Kg).
