The engine was a oil & air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 73.7mm bore x 73.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 249.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

The bike has a 6-speed transmission.

It came with a 100/80-17 m/c 52s front tire and a 130/70-17 m/c 62s rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. 2-piston caliper in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a 100mm travel. The CBX250 Twister was fitted with a 4.36 Gallon (16.50 Liters) fuel tank.
