The Honda GL1500C Valkyrie was a 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, horizontally opposed, 6-cylinder Touring motorcycle produced by Honda between 2000 and 2003.

Engine[edit | edit source]

A 71.1mm bore x 71.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1520.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed, manual, wide ratio transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 150/80R - 17 front tire and a 180/70R - 16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Dual 296mm floating discs with twin piston calipers in the front and a Single 316mm disc with twin piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 45mm inverted fork, 130mm travel while the rear was equipped with a Dual shocks with 5 way spring preload adjustment 120mm travel. The wheelbase was 66.5 inches (1689 mm) long.

1999 brings a new seat which is now lower and more comfy, boosting low-speed maneuvers and offering a solid foothold when stopped, even for smaller riders and less powerful ones, such as ladies. The model year also brings Black/Red and Black/Yellow two-tone paint schemes.

Based on the older 1500cc-class Gold Wing engine, the 2000 GL1500C Valkyrie is a kind-size cruiser with classic styling and boasting Honda's legendary reliability. The engine was revised, ad got a new camshaft timing and a free-flow exhausts for increased power.
